Do you like this?

Most of the changes to the building have been made to make it safer and improve its technical capacity.

After walking through the renovations, we can confirm that the charm of the building, with its flaking walls and detailed moulding, has been preserved. The old windows have been upgraded with additional sound-proofing modern windows on the outside, and while the fire doors and silver ventilation systems are a bit anachronistic, the overall balance between old and new is somehow satisfying.

And as we walked through the freshly painted Hochzeitssaal (trust me, it needed it), we saw that the workers had painted a naked woman underneath the base coat by the stairs. Sometimes, it’s good to remember that you can’t take everything so seriously.
