Born in 1973 in Argentina, Tomás Saraceno studied architecture in Buenos Aires before moving to Frankfurt to pursue a postgraduate diploma in art and architecture.

After exhibiting at the Venice Biennale in 2003, Berkeley Art Museum in 2007 and the Liverpool Biennial in 2008, Saraceno went on to win the Calder Prize in 2009 in New York.

His large-scale sculptures and installations can be found throughout the world in institutions like MoMA and the Walker Art Center.
