Totally disagree

For various reasons, I violently disagree with the casual suggestion that going to a psychologist, psychotherapist etc has no consequences.
It can, and in my view, I think the potential cost to going should be considered along with any benefits a person thinks they may get. Personally, I think the mental health profession should be far more regulated than it is, and most of them put on the streets, as it is a bit of a gravy train for the unemployable, and the cost can be very bad indeed for those who are their unfortunate victims. In fact, I believe, that it could ultimately prevent a person getting help.

I think I have very good reasons for this belief of mine, and apologies for offence.
