least games played

The reduced number of matches played between the two clubs have a reason I suppose. In the 1920s and 1930s the two clubs played in different regional divisions of the VBB-Oberliga as Berlin had up to 19 teams at the German first league level back then.

Later there was war and cold war and even the whole city was divided in two parts...

As for my count there were 33 league matches since the 1914/15 season of which Union recorded 5 wins, 14 draws and 14 losses. At Alte Försterei (since 1920) there were 3 Union wins 9 draws and 1 Hertha win until today.

@acentury...

Cheers, obviously I meant in the modern era (ie post 66), but it must be the derby with the least games played in world football?

league record

The last time Hertha produced a propper league win over Union was on February 1st 1942 as they beat the visitors from Oberschöneweide 3:2 at Plumpe (attendance 6.000) in the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg (German first league level).

Herthas last away league win dates back as far as September 16th 1934 as they won 6-1 at Alte Försterei (attendance 4.000) in the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg (German first league level).
