The merging of technology and art seems inevitable. Scientific inquiry has given art its most astonishing advancements. His computer-controlled penplotting elicits a visual accuracy beyond the ability of the absinthe-addled artist-genius. The results of his algorithmic art are stunning, though the spontaneity of art’s indelible core seems missing. Is this a man who sees the future? Or an aging hippie with too much technology at his fingertips?
