When Swedish Anna Hellsgård and French Christian “Meeloo” Gfeller founded Bongout, their take on the French words for ‘good taste’, (‘bon goût’) didn't beat around the bush. Since 1995 their collaboration with artists and graphic designers on books, posters, album covers and exhibitions has produced a large array of unique, limited edition work which flirts with aesthetic boundaries. Their cutting edge graphic design, partly created in their own silkscreen studio is raw, punk, sexual, absurd and beautiful. The pair opened their Mitte showroom in February 2008. Here you can browse through all the editions of MOLLUSK, a biannual, bilingual (French-English), full-color, visual-art journal; the limited artist books from ‘Édition Bongoût’, as well as various posters and T-shirts, before you stroll through the current exhibition. |
