Gay in Uganda?
Following gays in Uganda living under the threat of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, the documentary interviews gay rights activist David Kato as well as anti-gay opinion leaders who don’t mince words – words that are all too often products of Western thinking. The immediacy of the situation is made tragically clear when Kato is murdered halfway through filming, and the funeral is protested. One might think of the Westboro Baptist Church in the US and then be reminded that in some parts of the world, those kinds of ideas are deadly serious instead of laughable.
