Disconnect hits Berlin cinemas January 30.
A broken man (Skarsgård) becomes the victim of online identity theft and a workaholic father (Bateman) loses touch with his troubled son in this drama-thriller weaved together by intertwining stories. In the same way that Crash looked at modern day racism, Disconnect puts forth our wired-up world, tapped full of rapid networks but lacking real, human connections. The film is, at times, uncomfortable and downright depressing, but it will make you think twice about how much time you spend on Facebook.
Disconnect | Directed by Henry-Alex Rubin (USA 2012) with Alexander Skarsgård, Jason Bateman, Hope Davis. Starts January 30
