Armchair activists can join the battle for the city’s future as Exberliner presents Save Berlin EXBlicks.
There’s a raft of short films that touch base on many of Berlin’s hot topics. From the Swabian bogeyman to Kreuzberg hip hoppers, it’s a city-spanning selection dealing with the old-but-increasingly-relevant chestnuts of gentrification and urban change.
A key site of contest is that of the defunct Palast der Republik on Museum Island: one short explores the final months of the asbestos-ridden landmark, while another looks at its controversial future as the Stadtschloss redux.
In collaboration with realeyz.tv, filmmaker Rigoletti will be attending for a post-screening chit-chat.
