Sin and salvation
Jo Nesbø’s crime novels can stand up to comparison with fellow Scandinavian Stieg Larsson – and so can the films based on them. Although he’s at the top of his game, headhunter Roger Brown indulges in petty art theft to finance his lifestyle. Greed catches up with him when one of his victims turns out to be a professional killer. Despite its ambitious agenda, Headhunters ably and memorably tackles the big themes of sin and redemption, translating them into images of a man who loses his old life but finds himself.
