A year after the terrorist attack on the Parisian office of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, this timely documentary revisits those who lost their lives in the tragedy and the repercussions their deaths sent through the French society. Even in tone and modest in execution, the film salutes great cartoonists like Charb and Cabu respectfully, if not particularly creatively. That said, it works as an earnest and necessary reminder of an artist’s duty to stay fearless in the face of adversity.
