Meine Schwestern comes to Berlin cinemas on February 6.
Three sisters go away for a weekend knowing it’s likely to be their last: middle sister Linda (Triebel) has a heart condition and senses that she won’t survive an upcoming operation. Kraume is a Tatort director and brings a great sense of timing to the sisters’ road trip from provincial Germany to Paris and one last shout at life, juxtaposing the meaningful and the trivial in a mosaic of individual relevance which stays, with few exceptions, on the straight and narrow of sober empathy.
Meine Schwestern | Directed by Lars Kraume (Germany 2013) with Jördis Triebel, Nina Kunzendorf. Starts February 6
