When his slacker brother Pietschi goes missing, the married and successful doctor Gregor (Zimmler) falls into self doubt and starts hanging out with Pietschi’s once girlfriend. In the process, feelings of curiosity, discovery and jealousy are intimately described, underscored by glassy notes of experimental music prevalent in German indies. Unfortunately the third act doesn’t have anything profound or surprising to say, so what begins as an intriguing, coolly atmospheric character study ends up mostly just pent-up desires and unfulfilled promise.
