More plod than odd
After Cindy and Jim discover they can’t conceive, they write down their hypothetical child’s traits and bury them in the garden, and bingo: that night, Timothy appears in their house, whereupon Jim and Cindy proceed to account for events to adoption services in a cheesy alternate-line dialogue. The boy’s personality is as unbelievable as his creation and although the film is good for some smiles it rarely rises above clichéd relationships and typical situations.
