The premise behind Bisque Rage sounds simple: make a film and show it at a festival. The actual concept is a little bit more challenging, however. Over 150 filmmakers will have just about nine hours to team up and go wild – berserk, even – and make a two-minute clip. From conception, to finding the perfect scene, shooting, editing: the whole process will be compressed into little more than an afternoon. In turning the city into a kind of creative battleground, the theme for the Berlin edition is “myths and urban legends”, and participants are fully encouraged to seek out the weird and the wonderful while telling their story. After a day in filmmaking boot camp, the screenings will be presented later that day just in time for the concluding party at Platoon Kunsthalle.
