In honour of her 2010 Käthe-Kollwitz-Preis win, Akademie der Künste is showing recent work by the installation artist Mona Hatoum. A child of Palestinian refugees who fled to Lebanon after the 1948 war, Hatoum made one of her most striking pieces - "Undercurrent" (2008) - about scattered identity: rope is woven into a red square at the piece's center; the red ropes meander out from the central square, each rope ending with a candle. Through September 5.
