In the 1960s, Bruce Nauman began building “experience architecture”: corridors and rooms that could be entered by visitors, offering the impression of incarceration or abandonment. Several such experiences can be had here, alongside “Clown Torture”, a video work, and neon and sound pieces. The occasion of Berlin’s first major Nauman retrospective is a donation by Friedrich Christian Flick, whose grandfather was the famous Nazi collector. The new architectural sculpture “Room With My Soul Left Out, Room That Does Not Care” was unveiled at the exhibition's vernissage. Through October 10.
