The makers of this festival have chosen Rue Princesse, a main thoroughfare and party strip in Côte d’Ivoire’s capital Abidjan, as a leitmotiv for three days of fun. Today, Munich multi-talents Chicks on Speed will be putting on the video/ lecture/live music/feminist extravaganza “Girl Monster #11: Sexy or Sexist” at 20:30. The list of promised delights also includes dance pieces, fashion shows, installations, videos... and food. And, of course, as the original Rue Princesse offers a welcome escape from the political and economic problems of everyday life, there will be dancing opportunities aplenty - don’t miss the after-party at 23:00, which mixes Ivorian coupé décalé and Euro-electro!
