It’s been 100 years since The Rite of Spring premiered in Paris and scandalised the ballet world. Stravinsky’s influential work would go on to become one of the most recorded pieces in the classical canon. In this lecture performance, London-based dance historian Millicent Hodson and her partner Kenneth Archer reconstruct Vaslav Nijinsky’s original choreography with dancers from Sasha Waltz and Guests. Part of the Tanz über Gräben festival in honor of The Rite of Spring’s centennial.
