Tim Eitel’s blue- and grey-toned oil paintings are realistic representations of common objects and scenes. But they’ve been put somewhere else: a hand appears on a blue sheet, severed by the frame that contains it. Then there’s the half-packed suitcase, and a group of bathers on a staircase which seems to deny the laws of physics. If Rembrandt lived today and read Beckett, the result might look a bit like this. Through October 23.
