Twin Peaks fans rejoice: an inconspicuous façade sporting the sign of a defunct Kneipe conceals the Black Lodge, a new bar with such spot-on decor that you’d almost expect a reverse-speaking dwarf to appear from behind the red velvet curtains and do a little jig on the zigzag-patterned floor.

Thankfully, this isn’t a theme bar – you can’t order a One Eyed Jack’n’Coke and patrons don’t go around nursing logs.

Its appeal lies in its dimly lit, smoky atmosphere and the no-frills menu – beer for €3 and cocktails for €4 make a sojourn in Lynchland perfectly affordable.

Watch out for the all-night marathon of the show’s first season planned for this winter – projected in the Red Room and, the owner assures, with damn good coffee and cherry pie aplenty.
