You might associate delivery food with dark, stormy nights and marathon Netflix sessions, but from papaya salad in the park to Spanish tapas on your balcony, we've got five deliverable options that are just as suited for the season. (Then again, it's Berlin, so a summer of storms and Netflix isn't exactly out of the realm of possibility.)

Feeling Mediterranean? Yes, you could go to Neukölln's one and only Spanish import shop and wine bar for early evening tapas, but you could also enjoy a plate of primo Iberian charcuterie (including the famed Bellota ham, chorizo and blood sausage) and a glass of Verdejo wine (€15.50/bottle) right on your balcony. The "Gemischter Teller" comes with enough cured meat to appetize a small army, plus bread and olive oil, for €20.25.

It’s that age-old conundrum; you’ve made yourself a healthy, nutritious dinner and are feeling smug for having cooked it yourself like a real adult. But you forgot to buy that all-important pudding… Lucky that WonderWaffel, home of the "dessert döner", is on Resto-in, and you can get a range of their sweet treats delivered within 55 minutes for just €5.40. Go for der Klassiker (classic, if not slightly mundane) with Nutella, bananas, strawberries and kiwi, or be adventurous and induce a spike in your blood sugar levels with der 90er Jahre, topped with chocolate, strawberries, bananas, Kinder Bueno and smarties.

Take-out doesn’t have to be unhealthy, and bibimbap doesn't have to weigh you down. Gong Gan’s simple Korean fare will get you at least two of your five-a-day without making you feel like you’re snacking on rabbit food. Their rice dishes come topped with fresh salad leaves, bean sprouts, cucumber, mushrooms, carrots, radishes, and either tuna (8.50), salmon (9.70), squid (9.70), or tofu (7.30). Craving meat? Lunch on a plate of bulgogi and rice, or add the marinated beef to your bibimbap (€6.10 and €8.50 respectively). And considering you can order whilst in your PJs, a 50-minute delivery doesn’t seem long to wait.

We all love Thai Park, but it doesn't happen every day – and sometimes we just can't be arsed to go to Wilmersdorf. Luckily, the seriously spicy Isan fare from Kantstraße-based mini-chain Papaya can turn any park into Thai Park. Order the papaya salad (€13.40) and the crispy, addictive duck larb (with mint, red onion and toasted rice, €15.60), and don't forget a side order of rice to dull the pain.

You can be in a black mood even in summer, and for those days where all you want to do is draw the shades and block out the sun, the all-organic Black Cat burger (€14) is here for you. Okay, the squid-ink bun (from Prenzlauer Berg's Bekarei) might be a bit of a gimmick, but the huge (160g!) patty of certified-bio Brandenburg beef is no joke, and neither are the delicious, hand-cut fries (€4.10) with homemade ketchup. It just might be enough to get you back out into the light.
