Tiny, cosy coffeebar and lunch joint run by two recent New Zealand transplants. Great coffees, fresh hot soups and yummy toasted sandwiches at cheap prices.
And boy does the tiny New Zealander-run espresso bar and lunch café do soup right: robust veggie or meat, no gimmicky ingredients or overpowering flavours. Hearty, never creamy. Chef Paul’s classic: roasted veggie and beef stew, lentil tomato with a tangy celery edge, or sweet potato with chili, ginger and a dash of coconut milk. Comes with bread and butter. Add a (homemade) puff-pastry meat pie to round out a body-warming pub-grub lunch!
For dessert: homecake cookies and brownies.
