In the shadow of a prison the Poststadion has its own ghoulish, but fascinating history. The stadium that staged the only football match Hitler ever attended (Norway beat Germany 2-0 in the '36 Olympics) also held a Max Schmeling fight in front of 40,000 people in 1935. It is now home to BAK 07 Berlin, and was refurbished last year to reclaim it's right to hold sporting events again.
Once again, another stadium with the disadvantage of a running track, but the historically protected façade of the main stand is lovely and affords a decent enough view from inside. The crumbling remains of the huge terraces behind one of the goals can still be seen under the weeds which are the only things that stand there between the rusty old crash barriers.
