''Here through this deep defile he must pass. There leads no other road to Küssnacht." -Act IV, Scene III, William Tell by Friedrich Schiller.
After Küssnacht? In Berlin? In Neukölln, ironically, the trendiest part of the city?
The large Schiller quote on the walls of the restaurant invite you as entering into a space between poetry and fine cuisine. Simple wood furnishings, soft lighting and more detail make up the atmosphere: one pierced by arrows on a log in the doorway, quotations from Schiller's "William Tell" and a braided target, that are all a tribute to the legendary shooter. A unique place in Neukölln offering weekly rotating menus and in-house, hand made bread prepared by a team of experienced chefs. A further culinary horizon of food from tapas to steak adds a nice selection including fine vegetarian dishes, salads and tempting desserts. A range of selected red and white wines accompany the food and complete the experience at Wilhelm Tell. Only a five minute walk from the popular Tempelhofer Park contributing to the culinary scene of Schiller Kiez and open since October 2013. Wilhelm Tell is also situated within Schiller bar and next to Schiller Bakery and Schiller Burger. William Tell himself would have appreciated entering a bar only to find a hidden restaurant. A real gem in the neighborhood, which is why the motto is: Share, just don't spill the beans! Join musicians, poetry slammers, singers & creatives the first Saturday of every month for the very special 'Tellerrand-Sessions'. Free entry.
