In the wilds of Wedding lies this medium-sized (and privatized) lake, a nice respite from the diesel fumes of the city and that nagging ennui of late summer. On the south side is a well-maintained beach (your entrance fee at work), with a snack bar for cravings, Spielplatz for carefree youth, and FKK area for carefree adults.

Paddleboats are available at the Bootshaus, and run €6.50 for the couple-sized vessel, and €8.50 for a double date. Let the water and the romance be churned up with abandon! The north side is free, with good reason, as there is not much going on there. The requisite bike path branches off Seestraße, and travels past some quiet picnic tables and lakeside benches, mostly suitable for prim relaxation, so if you want to look but not touch, that’s okay too.
