The latest in Berlin’s recent rash of super-clubs looks a bit like Tresor’s sleeker little sister, with industrial rivets mixing with a quite impressive Pop Art light design. That said, Dice also comes across as something of an extension to the Alexa shopping mall it abuts. Opening night was sparsely attended - which is to say it would have packed Tausend - but that’s the new club economy for you. It’s difficult to predict a venue’s future based on its launch night: the DJs were skilled dub and techno locals, but I suspect Dice will need to roll with a story and stick with it if it’s going to distinguish itself.
