The utterly ubiquitous Infinite Livez – an usher at the ICA during his London days – mutates his tracks, while live-sampling in an ever-changing manner as he raps and sings with a mournful keen. And early light in the UK hip-hop scene, he's turned his back on bling for something stranger and oft melancholic.

Wynton Kelly Stevenson also brings modernity's blues, with his sad and savage mouth harp. Another mixer-looper, like I.L., he transforms his tracks as they alter us.

As always, DJ Shiner plays clean-up, spinning state-mandated youth Schlager deep into the malfunctioning morn. A trifecta of the troubled.
