A selection of these will show at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, including a three-part event dealing with the west’s resurgent interest in death: in Framing Death (May 31, 21:30, Jun 1, 20:30, Jun 3, 17:30) art historian Sylvère Lotringer uses images taken by New York City police to examine strategies of evidence taking.

On Continuity (German with English subs) is another three-part event organised by Florian Schneider and Thomas Heise that looks at the cinematographic use of linear time in establishing colonial narratives (Jun 3, 12:00).
