Equal parts Daft Punk and Django Reinhardt, the Parisian electro-swing band packs an uncanny blend of synthesizers, glitchy-samples, brass and gypsy-jazz style violin and guitar that are nearly impossible to stand still to.
Mulatu Astatke, the godfather of Ethio-Jazz, blends the traditional rhythms and instrumentation of Ethiopian music with jazz and Latin influences. The multi-instrumentalist and composer hits Yaam on two days on his “Peace, Love and Ethio-Jazz” tour.
