The IBB videolounge will feature 12 new and established media film artists. Among other topics, works will concentrate on the inner workings of cinematography and documentary approaches with the intention to convey the diversity of this medium.
Celebrate the international launch of Her Royal Majesty, a literary and arts magazine for established and emerging artists (est. 2008). To help with the bash there's live music by Gosia Winter, live art, and an exhibition of Ryan Dooley's work.
Two installations by the Welsh artist go off show today. Constructed Space recreates a 2008 project as a kind of echoic living space, more deconstructed than constructed. The new work, by contrast, is all Jimi Hendrix and neon.
The bewitching group show brings together works from 18 of its artists in an exhibition that plays with the idea of magic and illusion, enlisting Berlin’s secretive Circle of Magicians to enchant the rooms of Isabella Bortolozzi throughout the month.
The six art fairs that descended upon Berlin in October have so much to offer that it would be near impossible for any one person to take it all in. But we have a small scintilla of something from everything.

Plasma experiment chambers, drilling rigs, unpopulated housing developments, empty streets girded with sky scrapers... Thomas Struth’s large-format photographs (on display at Galerie Max Hetzler from Oct 7-Nov 27) capture what human ambition leaves behind when the creators and occupiers vacate the lot.
Yoko Ono invites Berliners to participate in this exhibition inspired by a poisoned apple – Das Gift translates as "the poison" – at Haunch of Venison (Sept 10-Nov 13). On the first floor, visitors can leave behind stories or images they associate with violence, or investigate “The Hole” – a shattered pane of glass that claims to put viewers in the dual perspective of gunman and victim. Frowns are forbidden on the second floor: “Smile Room“ records visitors’ smiles and beams them onto a video loop. Very Yoko...
