Tired of a sacrilegious deal that turned him into a half-dead, fireball vigilante, Johnny Blaze (Cage) accepts a contract to rescue a boy from the devil. In exchange he wants his soul back. The beauty of this ridiculous Marvel-based movie is that it just as easily could be an action spoof. With Cage using his signature twitching and Tourette-syndrome-style voice during his transformations, humour really makes the greatest impact while the lame religious backdrop is so clichéd that it just becomes a mockery.
