Do you like this?

One wishes there was an equivalent term for spider shit, like they have for bat shit ("guano"). Fortunately, the other summer superhero blockbuster shows much more promise than this unnecessary reboot of a nosedived franchise. Marc Webb’s, of (500) Days of Summer fame, sensibility was apparently the reason he got the job and this sensibility explains a lot about The Amazing Spider-Man’s failure. It’s cookie cutter at best and highly obnoxious at worst. Expect put-on romance, an annoying score, a ridiculous ensemble cast and too many set-ups to show off its 3D capabilities of Spiderman in midair yoga poses. Our spidey sense isn’t tingling.
