Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has convinced the international fashion crowd that this city has enough exciting designers to warrant the biannual stopover. This season’s show schedule is as good as ever with a range of our Berlin favourites (DSTM, Augustin Teboul, Perret Schaad), as well as some promising newcomers (Barre Noire and Blame). Entrance is strictly for professional fashionistas, but there is plenty going on in Berlin that is not so exclusive.

The toast of the season will be Exberliner’s own Toast & Jam vintage fashion fair. Back for the second time and this time in the sleek Umspannwerk Kreuzberg, over 40 vintage vendors will prove that style is timeless with a range of vintage clothes and accessories. Watch models strut their stuff in the fashion show at 7pm on Saturday to get inspiration for your vintage purchases.

See if you can spot the next Alexander McQueen at the amateur designer catwalk show as part of Wedding Dress #7 and peruse the best of green, sustainable fashion brands in luxurious surroundings at the Green Showroom in the Adlon hotel.

Premium and Bread & Butter are the big tradeshows we recommend, and although intended for professionals only, it is definitely possible to blag your way in! Hey, this is Berlin.

The Dandy Diary X Facehunter party is bound to be a corker – you can win tickets on their website.

And check out the Humanity in Fashion award exhibition to get acquainted with young, local designers with talent and ethics!
