Hosted in Berlin by Eiszeit Kino and Cineplex Neukölln before it heads to Kurdistan in December, Berlin’s seven-day Kurdish Film Festival is packed with features, documentaries and shorts from directors scattered throughout the globe.
The opening film, Atilla Cengiz’s Oĝul (The Son, Nov 11, 20:00), depicts war in southeastern Turkey through the tragic stories of two fathers. The screening, like many in the fest, will be followed by a Q&A with the director
