Each year, on Long Night of the Museums one ticket will allow you access to almost every museum in Berlin, many of which will be putting on special performances and exhibitions. From 6pm to 2am, explore hidden aspects of Berlin’s cultural scene. This year, things will be slightly different, with four centres providing a base from which to explore the city.

A new feature of Long Night of the Museums: Four centres
There’s so much to see on Long Night of the Museums that the organisers have introduced a new feature to make things easier. There will now be four “centres” from which visitors can set off on their route, take a break, meet a friend, or simply get a drink and relax in front of a DJ set or dance performance. The centres can be found at the following locations:
- Charlottenburg / Berggruen Museum
- Hamburger Bahnhof
- Checkpoint Charlie
- Lustgarten / Museum Island
In order to travel quickly from one centre to another, shuttle buses will be provided. Route 1 runs between Lustgarten and Charlottenburg Palace and Route 2 runs between Hamburger Bahnhof and Checkpoint Charlie. Visitors can switch between the two routes at Potsdamer Platz.
A third shuttle bus is also in operation: running every half hour between the Stasi HW – Campus for Democracy in Lichtenberg and the Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial.

- Midnight scare: Check out “The Cabinet of Dr Caligari” at the Musical Instrument Museum, accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ
