This Saturday, July 6, starting at noon, Berlin’s vintage fashionistas will swarm to Heimathafen Neukölln for the third annual TOAST & JAM – Berlin fashion week’s only all-vintage fair, and one of the few Fashion Week events open to someone other than the pros. The vintage frenzy continues from 10am on Sunday, July 7.
The two day event brought to you by Exberliner and Nowkoelln Flowmarkt includes around 40 vendors from across Berlin and Europe breaking out their best vintage pieces – from intricate sequined flapper dresses to vintage aviators, you’re sure to find something to match your inner icon. And aside from setting yourself apart from the H&M clones, you can ease your conscience with the knowledge that wearing vintage is also the eco-friendly choice.
As in years past, the highlight of this year’s TOAST & JAM will be the all-vintage fashion show – a choreographed half-hour parade of the best looks of the ages starting at 7pm on Saturday. A special emphasis will be on swimwear and sporty summer looks to give you inspiration for Berlin’s fleeting hot weather. And did we mention that it’s open to the public?
