What Housed in a warehouse in the Arena complex, this vast junk market has 4000sqm of floor space packed with everything: bathroom faucets, mink coats, tools, rugs, defunct electronics. Unique to Arena is the overwhelming presence of antique or at least vintage stuff; almost every other stand here carries 1970s LPs, timeworn photos and enough brassy GDR kitsch to put any communist nostalgia to rest. Easy to reach, perfect for all weather conditions (though dress warm for the unheated halls) and very rarely uncomfortably busy. Haggling obligatory. The two adjoining well-stocked Turkish snack booths provide nourishment.

Crowd Eclectic. Turkish antique dealers meet Friedrichshain 40+ treasure hunters.

Entry price Free.

Beer price €2.50.

How to sell Registration is simple and prices are negotiable; all you need is proof of status required for licensed traders. Pornography, weapons and Nazi memorabilia are verboten. Tel 0172 3035 775.
