80km winds to hit Berlin as Storm Ulf approaches
The news week kicks off in Berlin with heavy winds and rain as Storm Ulf makes a visit to the city.
Don’t let the cute name fool you, Ulf is bringing gusts of 80km per hour. That’s enough to take down tree branches and take tiles of your roof. The German Weather Service warns to pay close attention to falling objects. The most dangerous hours of the day are likely between 9:00 and 16:00, according to rbb.
The cause of the storm is actually some unusually mild temperatures. The next few days will be warmer, at around 9 or 10 degrees, before a drop off towards the end of the week. The most rain is expected on Tuesday, following which the winds should drop off and things cool down again at the weekend. Brace yourself for a stormy week, Berlin!
