A substance that looks an awful lot like cocaine was found at the residences of three local officers. The material was discovered during a search carried out on Thursday morning and it’s believed that one of the cops – a 44-year old female officer – had kept the confiscated cocaine for herself and her colleagues.

While (we guess?) cops deserve to party as much as the rest of us, you think they’d have no trouble finding their own stuff – especially because these ones work in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district. And there are other signs these police might be not entirely scrupulous. According to the Tagesspiegel, the searches which uncovered the substance were carried out due to a suspicion of bribery and corruption after an officer in the same directorate was accused of passing along some internal information.

Legal steps are being taken and the State Criminal Police is busy investigating the case as a violation of the Narcotic Act, as well as a breach of custody.
