Turning his athletic, physical style to a somewhat more melancholy subject than those in previous works – Big Brother, marriage and neighbours – Berlin-based Israeli choreographer Nir de Volff’s newest work with his Total Brutal company tackles the thorny subject of death in modern society. His choreography for three dancers explores the fact that death is part of life, and not just an emptiness after its end. Partially developed in residency at the Goethe Institute in Bangkok.
