Taking its title from anti-outsider graffiti, this documentary theatre piece revolves around the perennial question of just what exactly a real Berliner might be. The English Theatre Berlin’s new producing artistic director Daniel Brunet organised a group of six performers who identify with either an ‘immigrant’ or ‘expat’ group, who then conducted interviews with Berlin residents of the same community. The resulting performance consists of quotes taken from those interviews and devised into monologues and scenes. The first part of the Aliens with Extraordinary Abilities? project.
