Schaubühne presents a retelling of Henrik Ibsen's "Ein Volksfeind," a social drama that follows Dr. Stockmann, who discovers pathogens contaminating his city's healing waters. While his plan for intervention is met with wide approval, decision makers, led by his brother, decide the cost is not worth the effort. Suddenly, Stockmann becomes "an enemy of the people." Fun fact: Based in part on the struggles playwright Ibsen encountered with the public reaction to his work. Presented with English subtitles.
