The notorious Austrian artist is finally having his first retrospective solo in Berlin. The co-founder of the controversial 1960s Viennese Actionist movement, which critiqued the state’s latent fascism and boasted participants like Hermann Nitsch and Valie Export, actually fled to West Berlin after being arrested and sentenced to six months in prison for his performance in Vienna, Kunst und Revolution, which involved four different bodily functions. Brace yourself for videos, drawings and images that are horrific and violent. Through June 6.
