The French-born, Berlin-based artist conceived his latest project in New York, where he spent the last six months. He burned, oiled and scratched 1970s European wallpaper beyond recognition, and repeatedly printed, silkscreened and photocopied dislocated shapes on top. The pieces deal with nostalgia for the decaying analogue world which has fallen foul to our current digital age. Virtual methods of communicating information lead to nostalgia for bygone eras, which are becoming more and more lost in the process of modernisation.
