Dancer Ian (formerly An) Kaler revisits his “untitled” tetralogy a year after its premiere, re-working the first and second instalments alongside a new sound and light design. (The emotionality of the jaw) is the first of the two, a solo score. Kaler’slooping, blurred, swinging and swaying movements are echoed in the onstage percussionist Houeida Hedfi and musician Aquarian Jugs, aka Planningtorock’s Jam Roston. Though Kaler drifts, hazily, through the evening, the piece questions what it means to consider an impending explosion a positive and generative act of creation.
