As a regular business traveller to southeast England, in my personal experience restaurant cooking at all price levels has massively improved in the course of the last 25 years or so. But then somebody raves about lamb with mint jelly. Seriously?

Scary how all the Tescos and M&S foodhalls mostly offer a massive choice of chilled prepared meals with hardly any real fresh food in sight. Does anybody in London have a kitchen?
