The milk whore: Leonie Ahrents

Don’t bother looking for a wet nurse. They don't exist officially in Berlin anymore. Ahrents, a former escort “of the bizarre kind” on parental leave (she has a six-month old baby girl), sells her breast milk to yet-to-be-weaned adult males.

Don’t bother looking for a wet nurse. They don’t exist officially in Berlin anymore. In fact, they don’t exist unofficially either – milk banks are there to provide for milk-deprived mothers adverse to formula.

But what if you’re an adult man still longing for mommy boobies, or at least the aqua vita they hold? Ahrents, a self-professed former escort “of the bizarre kind” on parental leave (she has a six-month old baby girl), sells her breast milk to yet-to-be-weaned adult males.

Taking inspiration from the US, where some women boast of earning up to $20,000 a year from their milk, Ahrents says she has found a unique local business opportunity. Thus, she has taken on a strange double existence together with her former escort client, Paul, father of the baby and Ahrents’ “milk pimp”.

How did you come up with the idea?

Leonie: Well, first of all I should tell you that I lead a double life. I’ve done crazy things and have a very active entrepreneurial side and am always looking for ways to make money in ways that no one does, where there’s little competition. I researched online for gaps in the market.

And what did you find?

Leonie: I found men that like to drink women’s breast milk. I Googled it. It’s called lactophilia.

What do you do for a living?

Paul: Search engine optimisation for Deutsche Telekom. We have no necessity for earning additional money, but it’s fun. Leonie: Marketing in his company.

Can you tell me more about your private double life?

Leonie: My background is in the area of escorting, not just normal escorting but the bizarre kind, a niche where I let men treat me like a slave.

Did you discuss the milk idea together?

Paul: Yes, we spoke about it together, and spoke about how far we’d go with it and what barriers we had to set. For example, there are customers who are interested in receiving the milk directly from the woman, and we said that was out of the question. But sending the milk is fine.

They don’t come and pick it up?

Leonie: I meet them outside of the house, so that they don’t know where I live or where my daughter is.

In what container do you deliver it?

Leonie: In one of these plastic baby bottles.

So what’s your breast milk clientele been so far?

Leonie: I’ve sold it to three men. Thirty millilitres for €40 euros, so a total of €120.

Do you freeze the milk?

Paul: If people order large amounts, such as 500ml, you can’t deliver that all at once, and a woman can’t produce that much milk in one sitting. The maximum in one ‘session’ is 150ml.

What is the most someone’s ordered?

Leonie: I think 300ml.

What do you imagine men do with your milk?

Leonie: They drink it. The spectrum is pretty broad and covers men who enjoy being breastfed and those who just enjoy the taste and the feeling of being cared for, that someone is doing something for them.

Do they drink it during sex?

Paul: Generally, when they masturbate.

What will you do once you’ve weaned your daughter?

Leonie: I wrote two pages worth of ideas, and had to fight with myself because I’m so creative and couldn’t stop coming up with new ones!

Will you ever tell your daughter?

Paul: We’ve discussed it, and we want to tell her when she’s 21. She’s our child; she’ll understand. Leonie: We’re not a ‘normal’ family; we think differently – she’ll know and she’ll be open to it.
