Best known for her well proportioned retro knit hats, Berlin-based designer Anat Fritz has been producing her signature line since 2005. In the years since, she’s expanded her collection from just headpieces and accessories to include interior design, lamps and perfume.

What kind of woman do you design for?

A positive, charismatic and self confident woman with lots of humour and good taste, but who doesn’t take herself too seriously!

What are your favourite clothes shops in Berlin?

Soeur, the first vintage concept store in Berlin. I love the idea behind it, the staff, the clothes and the prices. And Quartier 206 for its wonderful selection – if you can afford it.

What three items should every woman have in her wardrobe?

Humour, empathy and intelligence!

Do you have a signature item you always wear or style you always adhere to?

Every shade of dark blue.

Who is your style icon?

Annie Hall.

What is your most recent fashion purchase?

A pencil skirt by Pulver – can’t wait to wear it!

What style do you admire on other people?

Relaxed-classic.

What are your tips for dressing in autumn?

A nice pair of jeans with a luscious knit pullover.

Is there a trend you can’t wait to see the back of?

I can’t stand the look of short-cut jeans with black tights underneath!
