A nice sound

OUT NOW! THE SOUND AFTER THE STORM brings the soul of New Orleans to the screen in a way news reports never could.

Sven O. Hill’s film creates a link between the abstract representation of Hurricane Katrina in the media and the reality of what families (still) have to face after the catastrophe. Through the eyes of three creative people who love New Orleans (a photographer, a musician and a historian), we get an inside view of its culture, music and everyday life. Watching the news might make you understand what is going on, but this will make you feel it.

The Sound After the Storm | Directed by Sven O. Hill (USA 2009). Opens December 9.
